Maxine's New Sweater

Doesn't Maxine look great in her new outfit? It was hand crocheted in a matter of two days by her loving Abuela Rosie. She went to play group and all the other dogs wanted to put in an order for such a beautiful sweater!

Thank you Rosie! Also thank you for letting Maxine sleep with you all week! We love you.

Sleeping and Swiping

This is just a cute picture of Lulu sleeping right on the edge of the loft. Fortunately she is not melting too much cheese because it is a long way down from those kitchen cabinets!

Jana took care of the Black Radishes one night this week and she came in one night after work and the cats were of course going crazy, running from counter to counter, meowing and carrying on in eager anticipation of dinner. Jana stood by the counter and shook her finger at them, teasing them, "Now now you won't get any dinner until you can behave!" Well, Felix wasted no time and just quickly took his paw and swung it angrily right at her finger. He hit her spot on! He can be such a grump, especially with anyone messing with his food!

Heather's Little Helpers

I was working on our children's book furiously trying to meet my deadline before Rosie, my mother in law came to town. Jimmy was out of town and I had to pull close to an all nighter. Fortunately, the cats were here to help me out!

The book turned out great, i think, and I guess I should put Felix as my co-illustrator because as you can see here he really got into it!

Heat Leeches

Home from a work retreat and the little ones are gangbusters! They have been off the wall all day. The temperature dropped so the chill is in the air and guess what that means? The heat leeches come out. Ever since i walked in the door little Lulu has wanted to be on my lap. Of course i thought she wanted to be with me, i had been gone and she missed me, right? No, very human interpretation. I realized it was 64 degrees in the house and she gravitated toward the most likely source of heat: me.

I can pretend right?

Confirmation #347: Gatos love the heat lamp, aka French Fry Lamp!!!!!

Fallen Comrade

It is with great sadness that I report a tragic and sad loss to the gatolino community. A one strong and silly cat Scouty has passed on to the next life; a life with unending cheese and endless seas of perpetually clean litter boxes.

Scouty was a scholar of sorts, always seeking truth in the most mystical and unusual circumstances. He sought solace in pondering the questions that every great felineosopher asks:

"Where in the world are all the snacks?"

"Where dear god is the warmest place to lay my weary head?"

"Why, oh god of greatness mercury, do my owners always sleep when I most desperately need to eat?"

And then the question that vexed this small sage the most, "Why in gods green earth does this woman dress me in a sweater with a banana on it!" (only late at night).

Not to diminish the many accomplishments of this fine gatolino. Though his silly days were filled with mirth and gaity, as this picture accurately shows the great Scouty became wise in his later years, a sage to the feline community. Offering wisdom and guidance to even the most foolish of cats (KOOF!). Moreover, his great influence and kindness will be remembered for decades to come.

Everyone has chose to remember Scouty with that ridiculous banana sweater and the wisdom of Solomon. Scouty is survived by the Pagano family who will always love and remember the little pitterpat of Scoutys paws on their hardwood floors.

We love you Scouty!

Ziggy is Depressed

Ziggy, AKA Sickman or Simone, is depressed because Jimmy is gone once again. He is in California for some client meetings but Ziggy doesn't care where he is she just knows she will not be getting her normal rations of quesadillas. deli meat and eggs.

Besides, she misses all the extra pets and the warm computer she gets to sit on every time Jimmy leaves his office!

Safe Cracker

Lulu has taken the cat burgler to the next level, she is working on becoming a safe cracker!

Do you think she can crack the code and bust into the safe full of snacks?

Actually, its legal documents and the like, but Lulu can dream!

What is Wrong With This Picture?

Do you know the answer?

I will give you a big hint: Felix is not in this picture!

Yes, you guessed it. The lure of the french fry lamp heat is stronger than Sickman's disdain for Koof!

At least for a single moment on one particular day.
