Party Girl

Marley came over for some weekend festivities Friday night. She and Maxine had a blast running around the new backyard, resting and then running again. They went into the wee night hours, stopping only to rest a bit (on the couch, with Leslie and Sherif on it!).

Marley was obsessed with out "black cats." She really, really wanted those cats! But they stubbornly stayed on the wall, perfectly poised without a peep. She thought she would go nuts trying to get those cats down. But, alas, they would not budge.

We all had a great night with good friends! Thanks Marley!

Meanwhile . . .

Meanwhile . . . . embodying the all encompassing, persistant laziness that is koof, she stretches out across the Hebrew National t-shirt wrapped clam baking her skin to a dark sun tan!

Sicky Goes Bananas

We were sitting at our desks working when sicky bounded into the room with a bucket of energy! She ran up the post and then right back down. Its funny to see her up there with the black cat door art!

Then she raced down and grabbed the mouse on a string and promptly grated her teeth through the string and started chomping on the little mouse. With Felix looking on with mild interest.

Digging and the Hot Box

We are tired of getting yelled at by our gardener! Ever since the new trees have gone in Maxine has flirted with digging up the soft dirt at the base of the tree. Well, this week she started really digging them up and so we put the orange netting from the fire around them.

But we also like her to be happy and digging makes her very very happy. So what do we do?

Jimmy built her a sand box!In another amazing building effort Jimmy put this wonder together in less than an hour in the blistering Texas sun. Maxine knew what to do as soon as her paws felt sand under them - DIG!

KOOF!

I didn't forget Koof! Was she scared by all the thunder and lightning? How about the wind and rain?

No way, not little Lulu! She was fast asleep in her little HOT WOK. Do you see the new sticker Jimmy made her for her lair?

Hurricane Eduardo

We had the first hurricane scare this week. Tuesday Hurricane Eduardo was headed for Houston. We knew it would at least be a tropical storm and so I was home from work. Everyone endured the storm together as a family.

Sickman weathered the storm at the french fry lamp.

Felix "helped" me with my work.

Maxine probably hated it the most. She kept wanting to go outside but then not wanting to get wet. She somehow felt Jimmy and I should definitely be able to control the weather. We got a LOT of rain
