Lexi - Meet Piper's New Cat

Meet Lexi, the newest animal addition to the Guerrero family. No, this is not a new cat for us but for our dear niece living in New Jersey! Maybe she was inspired by all the crazy antics of the Black Radishes or maybe this was just the kitten that won over her heart!

Send us more pictures and some stories about how she is doing in her new home.

Welcome to the family Lexi!

Maxine Gets an Update

Maxine went with us to get an update on the '52 Chevy.

It was completely stripped of all the external chrome and is being sanded. All the paint is off and they are getting her ready for new paint. It still looks like it will be ready about mid-November.

Maxine was the only dog in the shop!

New Blanket

Even though we have had this bed in the office for awhile it was rediscovered anew when we put the new gray quilt over it. Lulu has snuggled into the spot between the two pillows, which we call the crease, and pretty much stays there all day long!

Maxine enjoys it but still thinks that our bed is hers. We no longer let her on that bed at all unless we are in it and she no longer likes to sleep with us which we are very happy about!

This is a great pic of the gato's watching Bird TV!

Scrabbled Up

Lulu was watching us play scrabble this weekend and took a little tile and started playing with it throughout the house. It was pretty cute!

Picasso

Little Picasso here is "helping" Jimmy paint the bathroom. It is amazing he could make any progress on the painting with the little gatolinos running around or, in this case, sleeping on his supplies! I expect to find some little gray paw marks somewhere in the house . . .

Gutter Birds

It is so hot here whenever there is any water on the ground the birds flock down and drink and splash the water on their wings. In this picture we have our sprinklers on and the birds are playing in the water pooling up in the gutter! I guess they got to get what they can because we still have no rain in sight.

Can't Bring That in Here

Gross! Maxine is clearly hoping she can bring her big nappy bone in the house. She would probably choose to drop it right in the middle of our bed!

Marley with Baseball Hat

Marley vs. Jimmy

Can you see the scenario here? The sticks and string and aluminum cans are an elaborate gate system Jimmy created to keep Marley out. She digs in that exact spot and last week she actually got UNDER the house . . . twice! This has actually been going on a long time: Marley vs Jimmy. As you can see from this picture, Marley pushes the boundaries every time.

Here is Marley calmly obeying her master while Jimmy is pulling his hair out screaming, "MARLEY BOB, NO!!!!!"

And Maxine doesn't give a hoot about the hoopla.

Caves

I was just getting ready to type this post about how much Lulu loves what we call caves. She likes to be covered up, snuggled into a blanket or laundry, even under the bed. When she comes into bed with us we lift the blankets and tell her she can go "under water."

I walked over to get some water and what did I see but Koof dug into our laundry and Simone, of all people, settled in right beside her.

Right when you think you've seen it all they surprise you once again!
