Orphans

I am not sure how this picture will show up online but this is a picture of FOUR cats eating dry food out in our driveway. One of them is MacRib, one of them is probably Big Mac or Mac N Cheese. They are ALL gray and probably from the same litter, the one from Ribbons that we posted pictures of a LONG time ago nesting around the neighbor's tree. I will try to find the pictures and re-post!

Hot Loft

The weather has not been as cold as when it snowed so we haven't had the little space heater on in our room at night. If that is on, Lulu the heat leach will be there without question. She always selects the warmest, toastiest spot in the house.

But with the weather slightly warmer, sometimes the warmest place in the house is right under the central heater. You see Lulu to the right, enjoying that heat.

On the left, Simone is wondering what is so great about this particular spot in the loft. I guess her curiosity LEAPT out as she sought to find the heat holy grail . . . isn't this a great action shot!

Mystery

Often Jimmy takes pictures of the gatos during the day and gets great candid pictures of them and their vigorous activity. Or more often, the lack of activity.

This picture is a mystery to me. It looks like Felix in the first picture, but the accompanying picture looks just like Koof. They were taken in close succession of one another (both at 4:29). The only thing I can reasonably conclude is that this is Lulu, closely resembling Felix in that first shot!

Meaning of Life

Felix ponders the meaning of life while fastidiously licking himself and enjoying the first sun in days.

Feeling Groovy

Finally, our freeze is gone and we are back into the mid-50's. The cats are obviously enjoying this change of tune.

Even Simone tried to tolerate Lulu for a few hours this morning while they caught some rays.

It is so nice when everything is normal!

Checking Out the Freezing Street

It is cold, but MacRib is curious. Can you see her in this picture?

Maybe she was warming herself on the hot truck!

Super Cold

I forgot MacRib!!!!

She is trying to stay super, super warm.

Right now it is twenty degrees.

Hunkering Down

We are in a freeze right now, a major deal to a city which 97% of the time is in extreme heat and humidity. The whole city has practically shut down. Everyone is a mess trying to figure out how to save their plants and not let their pipes burst. Apparently, with the gatolinos, it is business as usual.

And the heat leach herself, under the heat lamp! No surpris

Max Goes to Japan

Maxine found the airline pillows we use when we go to Japan. Wow, she looks striking in her new garb.

Why the long face?

Hurt Paw

We are not sure when she hurt herself but max has a little cut on her paw. She REALLY does not like the bandage. Poor girl!!

Hide and Seek

Can you find the cat in the picture?

Snow

It is not really snow, it is catnip! The black radishes were rolling in it . . . except Felix. Doesn't Sicky look happy frolicking in the catnip?

Cold

We will probably get down to 29 degrees tonight. Our little orphan cat is cold. We put rice in a sock and heated it up in the micro-oven, then placed it in her little home. Hopefully that will keep her toasty tonight!
