Tucked In

Felix is tucked in, super tired after spending all morning pouncing and yowling at us until we woke up and fed him.

Life's a Beach!

SPECIAL REPORT FROM BOLIVAR PENINSULA

"Our Halloween at the beach. We drove the girls out to Bolivar Peninsula to Crystal Beach. It was ground zero for Hurricane Ike. It was shocking to see all that is gone. It was also surprising to see how much has been rebuilt. The day was very pleasant & mild. As the sun set, a crisp coolness blew in the wind.

The dogs seemed to enjoy their time at the beach. Lots to smell, see & experience. Maxine watched the birds & peed in the waves. (She saw me pee in the dunes & decided on a different venue) I think she really enjoyed hanging out the car window as we drove up & down the beach. Marley wanted to walk very briskly on the beach. She didn't even mind the waves too much. Both dogs slept all the way home & are VERY lazy today.

A friend made the bandanas the dogs are wearing. On our last visit, she gave me those two bandanas for Max & Marley. The girls wanted to dress for Halloween as Lady Gaga & Sarah Palin. I explained how dangerous Halloween would be for dogs, so there would be no costumes. They were very disappointed, so we let them wear goofy bandanas & go to the beach as a consolation prize. I think it worked ;-)"

Comments from the peanut gallery: This picture of Marley is both precious and hysterical! I love it and it makes me miss her. She looks like she is about to take flight!
