Introducing Los Gatolinos

Los Gatolinos is the Michigan Street gang of black cats, also known as The Black Radishes. This is their story.

Meet the oldest cat, Felix, who is also the crankiest. His favorite past time is trolling the sink after dinner scavenging for snacks. When he finds something to snack on (which can be anything from olive oil to lettuce) he makes a growling, frenzied, gaggling sound that is not very polite. His food obsession has landed him in the Pet ER once for severe constipation after Simone busted into the snack drawer. Felix is three years old and has a big week ahead of him. Tomorrow he goes to the cat vet to get his bloodwork done in preparation for a major chopper cleaning on Thursday. He will have to be put under anesthesia so it is a little scary.

Simone is middle in age, but she is the mastermind behind the gang. She is one and a half years old. Her favorite past time is finding a slightly open kitchen drawer and digging her nails into the wood while she uses her weight to edge the drawer open. Once the drawer is cracked, if it is not the snack drawer she will squeeze to the back of the drawer and work her way to the back of the cupboard where she can access all the other drawers. If she happens to crack the snack drawer, all the cats work themselves into a flurried frenzy of snack attack. Left to their own, they would gorge themselves until they were stumbling around with full bellies.


Lulu is the youngest cat and has never been called by her real name. Shortly after joining the gang last January she was quickly given the name King Kufu and is now more often than not called Kafee. She is nine months old and very much the baby of the gang. She is not quite sure why the older cats get so worked up about food, but she tries to act interested in their hijinx. She has a way of wrapping herself right up or on the other cats when they are sleeping and she wants attention or to cuddle. She is also known to go from cat to cat and bug and pick fights like a little brother or sister might do! This picture is classic, she loves to ride around the house on Jimmy's shoulders.
